Forest fires in Tunisia: Tunisian Minister of Interior welcomes Algeria's immediate supportTUNIS- Tunisian Minister of Interior, Taoufik Charfeddine, welcomed Wednesday the immediate support provided by Algeria to Tunisia to extinguish forest fires that ravaged the country, expressing his thanks "to the Algerian brothers" who were, "as usual, at the rendezvous and have not hesitated to lend a hand" to Tunisia.
While receiving units of the civil protection sent as reinforcements by Algeria to extinguish the fires in Tunisia, under the instructions of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Charfeddine welcomed the position of Algeria which has provided immediate assistance and support to his country.
Accompanied by Algerian ambassador in Tunis, Azzouz Baâlal, the Tunisian Minister of the Interior welcomed "the ties of fraternity uniting Algerians and Tunisians, which is why there is no need to resort to any bilateral cooperation agreement," referring to the convention of joint cooperation between the two countries in the fight against disasters and fires (1985).
Cooperation between Algeria and Tunisia "is common and constant," he added.
