Algeria meets, to a large extent, conditions to join BRICS

 
ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune affirmed that Algeria meets, to a large extent, the conditions that enable it to join the BRICS. 
 
“The entry of Algeria into the BRICS is dependent on the economic conditions and Algeria largely meets these conditions,” said President Tebboune in his periodic meeting with the national press that was broadcast on Sunday evening.
 
In his reply to a question on whether Algeria plans to join this group, President Tebboune reassured that “this is conceivable, but lets’ not anticipate. What is certain is that there will be good news,” adding that “Algeria is interested in the BRICS, as it an economic and political power.”
 
“Joining this group will avoid Algeria, a pioneering country of non-alignment, friction between the two poles,” he added.
