Algeria's Liberation War, ＂historic moment＂ for liberation of African peoples

 
ALGIERS- President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Sahle-Work Zewde said Monday that the Algerian Liberation War was "a historic moment" for the liberation of African peoples from the colonial yoke.
 
"For generations of Africans, the Algerian liberation struggle was a historic moment for their liberation from the colonial yoke.
 
Our peoples share a fierce resistance to colonialism as well as the sacred values of freedom, independence and patriotism," tweeted Sahle-Work Zewde.
 
And added "I attended the closing ceremony of the Mediterranean Games and Mediterranean Games and was able to discover this beautiful city of Oran and its surroundings."
 
After expressing her gratitude to the President of the Republic Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for the warm welcome that was reserved for him, the Ethiopian President said that "coming to Algeria is a pilgrimage for all that it means in Africa and beyond.
 
Going back to her state visit to Algeria last July at the head of a large delegation, Mrs. Sahle-Work Zewde said that the two parties have agreed to "strenghten their relations of friendship and cooperation" so that they are up to their ambitions.
