Situation in Iraq: Algeria expresses “deep concern”

 
 
ALGIERS-Algeria expressed its “deep concern” over the development of the situation in Iraq and the dangerous outbreaks of violence that occurred, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community abroad in a statement.
 
“Based on its historical relations of fraternity, cooperation, and solidarity with the Republic of Iraq, Algeria is following with deep concern the developments in this brotherly country, given the evolution of the political crisis and the dangerous outbreaks of violence that have recently occurred,” said the statement.
 
“While calling on all parties to prioritize dialogue and the supreme interest of the country to preserve lives and properties, Algeria reiterates its solidarity with Iraq, people and leadership,” added the same source.
 
Algeria expressed, in this regard, its wish to see Iraq overcome this ordeal and recover its security and stability thanks to the combination and consolidation of the efforts of all its children.
