World's 50 best cookies: Algerian ＂Makroud el Louse＂ ranks 4th

ALGIERS- Algerian traditional cookie "Makroud el Louse" has been ranked fourth in the world's 50 best cookies, according to Taste Atlas website, specialized in world food.
 
Makroud el Louse, an Algerian rational cookie covered with a thick layer of soft white sugar, ranked fourth in Taste Atlas' ranking list of world's best 50 cookies.
 
Made from almonds, eggs, sugar and the flavour of orange blossom water, it is an Algiers specialty and offers a variety of flavours.
 
In the list, Makroud el Louse ranks ahead of many world famous cookies, including the French shortbread and American cookies.
