Visit of H.E.M LAMAMRA to Mali

“The works of this session, which was followed by the recent visit to Algeria by Diop, enabled the two parties to discuss, in a fraternal atmosphere and in a spirit of consultation and coordination, a wide range of topics of common interest relating to the strengthening of bilateral relations, the implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali resulting from the Algiers process, as well as current issues at the national and international levels,” said the source.
“While praising the historical relations of good neighborliness, fraternity and solidarity which unite Algeria and Mali, the two parties discussed the prospects aimed at strengthening the positive dynamics of peace and reconciliation in Mali and promotion of Algerian-Malian strategic convergences on issues concerning security in the region as well as on the continental and international level,” added the same source.
Moreover, Lamamra, Leader of the International Mediation on Mali, will chair on Friday in Bamako, the sixth high-level meeting of the Monitoring Committee for the implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali, resulting from the Algiers process.
The meeting will be marked by the presence of representatives of the Malian government and the signatory Movements of the Agreement, as well as several ministers and senior executives from border countries and bilateral and multilateral partners of the Republic of Mali.
Lamamra received by highest Malian authorities in Bamako
ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National national community abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, was received Friday in by President of the Transition, Head of State of Mali, Colonel Assimi Goïta, as part of his working visit and friendship in the Republic of Mali, said the ministry in a statement.
"On this occasion, Minister Lamamra conveyed to the Malian Head of State a message from his brother President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the historic relations of good neighborliness, cooperation and solidarity between the two brotherly countries," said the source.
"Minister Lamamra took this opportunity to inform the Malian President of the results of the 18th session of the Bilateral Strategic Committee held the day before under the chairmanship of the Heads of Diplomacy of the two countries, which allowed to address a wide range of issues of common interest in order to further consolidate the strategic convergences Algerian-Malian," the same source added.
In addition, "Minister Lamamra was received by Malick Diaw, President of the National Council of Transition and Abdoulaye Maiga, acting Prime Minister.
Lamamra meets with representatives of signatory movements of Peace Agreement in Mali
ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra met, Thursday, with representatives of the signatory movements of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali, resulting from the Algiers process, said the ministry in a statement.
As part of the working visit and friendship he is conducting in the Republic of Mali, and on the eve of the holding of the 6th high-level session of the Monitoring Committee on the implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali, resulting from the Algiers process (CSA), Lamamra, held a consultation meeting with representatives of movements signatories to the agreement, said the source.
The meeting, which comes after the 18th session of the Strategic Bilateral Committee, held with the Malian government "has enabled to take cognizance of the views of the movements, thus allowing to complete the overall assessment on the status of implementation of the agreement and the prospects for its acceleration in favor of commitments made by the signatory parties at the last high-level decision-making meeting," the source added.
On this occasion, "representatives of the movements have reiterated their commitment to the agreement as a cornerstone to promote factors of reconciliation and peace and preserve the stability and unity of this brotherly country," concluded the source.
Lamamra calls for full implementation of peace agreement in Mali
BAMAKO- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, called Friday in Bamako for a full implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali resulting from the Algiers process to achieve a successful conclusion.
At this decisive stage in Mali's history, we are all called upon to renew, individually and collectively, our commitment to fully implement the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali resulting from the Algiers process, and take concrete measures to ensure the success of this process," said Lamamra in his speech at the opening of the sixth high-level meeting of the Monitoring Committee on the Implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali resulting from the Algiers process.
"It is certainly a heavy responsibility, but the noble goals we have set ourselves are well worth it," he added.
According to the head of Algerian diplomacy, the sixth high-level meeting of the Monitoring Committee for the implementation of the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in Mali resulting from the Algiers process "comes in an encouraging and promising Malian context."
In this regard, the Minister stressed that "this meeting was held at a time when this brotherly and friendly country has undertaken important institutional reforms to achieve a profound re-foundation of the State and national institutions, thus offering new opportunities to address all the legitimate expectations of the people for a better future in reconciliation, peace and unity."
Mali: Lamamra chairs in Bamako meeting of international mediation group
ALGIERS- The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, chaired Saturday in Bamako, Mali, a meeting of the international mediation group on Mali, for the assessment of the implementation of the Agreement on Peace and Reconciliation in Mali, emanating from of the Algiers process, the Foreign Affairs ministry said in a statement.
"In the light of the outcome of the sixth high-level session of the Monitoring Committee on the Implementation of the Agreement on Peace and Reconciliation in Mali, held the day before, the international mediation meeting was an opportunity for a frank and open discussion on the progress made and the challenges to take by the Malian parties in order to meet the objectives of the agreement during the ongoing transition phase," the statement said.
"Reiterating their continuous support to the Malian parties on the way to peace and reconciliation, the participants expressed appreciation for the new dynamics in the agreement's implementation process with the work resumption of the monitoring committee."
"They (the participants) have not failed to acknowledge Algeria's key role as both the leader of the international mediation and the chair of the monitoring committee, in addition to the fact that it is a neighbouring country with a strong commitment to make a success of the peace process reconciliation process in Mali," the statement stressed.
