Arab leaders confirm participation in Arab Summit, willingness to make it successful
ALGIERS-Arab leaders and heads of state welcomed the invitation of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune to take part in the 31st Arab Summit scheduled for 1-2 November in Algiers, and expressed their support for the noble steps taken by Algeria to unify the ranks of the Arab nation.
All the invited Arab sovereigns and leaders affirmed their participation and their willingness to work for the success of this important Arab event.
The special envoys of the President of the Republic have criss-crossed the capitals of Arab countries where several leaders have confirmed their participation in the Summit and their willingness to make decisions that meet the aspirations of the Arab peoples.
 
 
Arab Summit in Algiers: Chairman of NAM among guests of honour of President Tebboune
NEW YORK- The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, met Thursday, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN general Assembly, his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Aziz Oglu Bayramov, to whom he handed over a letter of
invitation from President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, sent to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, who is the acting chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), to take part, as a guest of honour, in the 31st Arab Summit on November 1-2 in Algiers.
The meeting between the two Foreign ministers was an opportunity to establish consultation and coordination between the two countries on the prospects of the implementation of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune's initiative, aimed at giving a fresh impetus to the role of the Non-Aligned Movement against the backdrop of current tensions in the international arena.
Arab Summit preparation: Communication Minister receives ASBU DG
ALGIERS-The Minister of Communication, Mohamed Bouslimani received Tuesday the Director General of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), Suleiman Abdel Rahim, and the Director General of the Arab Center for the Exchange of Information and Programs, Mohcine Karim Slimani, with whom he discussed the preparation for the Algiers Arab Summit scheduled for 1-2 November in Algiers, said the ministry in a communiqué. 
On this occasion, Bouslimani stressed that “Algeria has provided all the necessary means to Algerian and foreign accredited journalists to make this event successful and cover this important event.”
“The summit will be exceptional at all levels with joint coordination,” he continued.
The DG of ABSU said that the “union is ready to contribute to a full coverage of the Algiers Arab Summit under coordination with all media.”
“The meeting was subsequently extended to the Algerian public and broadcasting media directors and ABSU representatives to assess the technical and artistic preparation. They will visit the International Conference Center (CIC) this afternoon,” said the source.
Arab summit: Guterres welcomes Algeria’s exceptional contribution to multilateral global diplomacy, confirms presence
NEW YORK (UN) - Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres confirmed on Monday his presence at the Arab Summit in Algiers, scheduled for November 1- 2, welcoming the “exceptional” contribution of Algeria to multilateral global diplomacy.
During his meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, who handed him the invitation sent by President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune to attend the Arab Summit in Algiers as a guest of honor, Guterres expressed his “deep gratitude to the President, accepting his invitation to attend the works of this event which coincides with the celebration of the 68th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious Liberation War.”
At the end of his participation in a high-level meeting of the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), held in New York, the head of Algerian diplomacy held a working session with UN’s SG Antonio Guterres.
During this session, the two parties reviewed the cooperation relations between Algeria and the United Nations as well as the latest international and regional developments, in particular the efforts made by Algeria to promote peace and stability in Libya, Mali, and in the Sahel-Sahara region, in addition to its efforts aimed at consolidating the Palestinian national unity and resuming the peace process in the Middle East through the relaunch of the Arab peace initiative.
In this regard, the Secretary-General welcomed Algeria's “exceptional contribution to the United Nations and to multilateral global diplomacy, in the service of peace and stability objectives and for the settlement of conflicts by peaceful means and the promotion of friendly relations between countries.”
The two parties also discussed “the prospects for completing the decolonization process in Western Sahara, in the light of the continued efforts of the United Nations under the leadership of the Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General, Staffan de Mistura to bring the parties to the conflict, two member States of the African Union (AU), namely Morocco and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), to continue direct negotiations with a view to reaching a lasting, fair and acceptable solution for both parties, a solution that guarantees the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence.”
