China gives “great importance” to development of relations with Algeria

ALGIERS- Algeria give a great importance to the development of its relations with Algeria, affirmed Tuesday Chargé d’Affaires of Chinas embassy in Algeria Qian Jin, pointing out the significant progress achieved in the past few years between the two countries in various fields of cooperation. 
“China gives a great importance to the development of relations with Algeria. In 2002, China and Algeria furthered once again their traditional friendship, strengthened solidarity and cooperation and also achieved new significant progress in our bilateral relations,” said Qian Jin in his speech on the occasion of the celebration of the 73rd anniversary of the foundation of the People’s Republic of China.
 
He announced the forthcoming inking of the five-year plan for comprehensive strategic cooperation, of the action plan for the joint construction of “Belt and Road” Initiative and of the three-year plan cooperation plan in key fields.
Reiterating China’s support to Algeria’s membership in the BRICS family, he gave an assessment of a pragmatic and fruitful cooperation, underlining the congratulation messages sent by the Chinese leaders, notably President Xi Jinping, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Algeria’s independence.
He also underscored the participation by videoconference of President Tebboune in the High-Level Dialogue on Global Development, organized by China, and that of Algeria in its capacity as an important member of the Group of Friends of the Global Development Initiative.
The Chinese diplomat welcomed the bilateral cooperation, particularly in health, through the manufacturing of vaccines with Saidal Group, the construction of infrastructures, energy and mines, announcing that Algeria will be the guest of honor of the 29th Beijing International Book Fair.
