Algiers’ Arab Summit: Qualitative turning point in joint Arab action for Palestinian cause
ALGIERS-Speaker of the People's National Assembly (Parliament’s Lower House) Brahim Boughali said Thursday, in Algiers, that the Arab Summit scheduled for early November in Algiers will mark a “qualitative turning point” in the joint Arab action, particularly in favor of the Palestinian cause.
On the sidelines of the launch of the Parliamentary Network on Environment and Climate, Boughali noted, in a statement to the press, that the Lower House “works to raise awareness among all Arab parliaments about the issues  in the Arab world, in particular the Palestinian cause.”
“We are supporting diplomatic efforts until the Palestinian factions reach a unifying agreement,” said Boughali, adding that the Palestinian cause “will weigh only if the Palestinians unify ranks.”

Algiers’ Arab Summit will be greatest international event in favor of Palestinian cause

ALGIERS- Palestine’s ambassador to Algiers Fayez Abu Aita affirmed Thursday that the Arab Summit of Algiers “will be the greatest international political event in favor of the Palestinian cause,” saying he is convinced that Algeria, under the leadership of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, will be able to unify the Palestinian factions and to combine the Arab countries’ efforts to take up the challenges that the Arab-Muslim nation is facing.”

Guest of El Moudjahid Forum, Abu Aita said that Arab Summit, to be held in Algiers in early Novemebr, will be “exceptional” at all levels, given the remarkable preparations reflecting “Algeria’s deep commitment to dealing with all the Arab issues and taking up all the challenges threatening the unity of its ranks.

According to the Palestinian diplomat, Algiers Summit “will be the greatest international political event in favour of the Palestinian issue, expressing the wish that “the conclusions of this summit will be exceptional concerning the unification of the Palestinian factions and the convergence of the Arab position vis-à-vis the Palestinian cause.”

“We aspire that the Arab Initiative for peace will be among the conclusions of Algiers Summit,” he added, pointing out that  in the vent of respecting this initiative, “ normalization will be criminalized until the end of the Zionist occupation and the establishment of the Palestinian State with al-Quds as capital.”

He hailed Algeria’s bold position vis-à-vis the Palestinian cause, notably during the last session of the United Nations General Assembly and its support to the request submitted by Palestine to obtain the quality of a full member State of the United Nations.

Algeria’s remarkable positions in favor of just causes are part of the international legality and greatly contribute to achieving peace and international stability, he pointed out.

Algeria's efforts to unite Arab, Palestinian ranks supported
ALGIERS - Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League, Houssam Zaki said Thursday that the Arab League supports Algeria's efforts aimed at unifying the Arab and Palestinian ranks through the Arab Summit scheduled to take place in November, saying that this step was "the beginning of a more effective Arab action."
In an interview with APS, Zaki said that the situation in the Arab world required all efforts to achieve the unity of ranks.
"Algeria has a long experience in terms of the unification of ranks," he said stressing "the great interest of the Algerian leadership in this matter.
He expressed, in this regard, his support and his "great" satisfaction with these efforts which are, he believes, "the beginning of a more effective Arab action.
Deploring the division of the Palestinian ranks, "a subject that distresses us as Arabs," the diplomat said that Algeria had taken the initiative to host the Palestinian dialogue before the Arab Summit.
Describing his meeting on Wednesday in Algiers with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community abroad, Ramtane Lamamra "excellent," Zaki said it had allowed to review all issues relating to the holding of the Arab Summit in Algiers, including "logistical preparations, the program, issues at the heart of the interests of member states, and many files to be included in the agenda of the Summit.
"The Arab League has not met since 2019, because of the covid-19 pandemic, and here we are on the eve of the 31st Arab Summit in Algiers," he added, stressing the particular importance of this Summit that will allow Arab leaders to be gathered in the same place and hold consultation sessions and bilateral meetings.
"We hope that this Summit will be able to achieve even a part of the expectations of the Arab people regarding issues related to stability, security, peace and prosperity, he concluded.
