ALGIERS-The President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Yunus Al-Menfi on Wednesday highly commended Algeria's "noble" support for the Libyan brothers, highlighting its pivotal role in resolving the crisis in his country through a unified Arab position at the next Arab summit.
"We highly welcome Algeria's noble support for Libya, a position that will help the Presidential Council to organize elections as soon as possible and the achievement of National Reconciliation with the support of Libyan youth who will carry the torch of the independent Libyan state," Al-Menfi said in a joint statement with the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, after their talks at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic.

Al-Kouni welcomes Algeria’s efforts to resolve crisis in Libya

TRIPOLI-The Vice-President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Moussa Al-Kouni welcomed Thursday in Tripoli Algeria's efforts to resolve the crisis in Libya, saying that “the first signs of a consensus between Libyan parties on the National Reconciliation Project are showing for the first time.”
In a statement to APS on the sidelines of the commemorative events of the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Issine, Al-Kouni said he wished to see “the meetings of dialogue initiated by the Council establish political stability in the country and lead to general elections.”
“This process is in line with Algeria’s vision to settle the conflict in Libya,” he added.
“This Process mainly is based on the imperative resolution of the crisis by the Libyans themselves, who must be impartial and equidistant with the Libyan parties, without exception, as stated by President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune,” he said.
He welcomed Algeria’s support to the Libyans in their efforts to reach a consensus.
“For the first time, the first signs of an agreement on the Libyan National Reconciliation process are emerging,” he stated.
The National Reconciliation project is advancing and “ideas and alternatives exist for the settlement of the Libyan problem by the Libyans themselves,” he said.

“Today, we must establish more cohesion between Libya and Algeria, given the challenges facing the region,” Al-Kouni added.
