Historical background makes Algeria leader on regional, international scenes

ORAN-The Minister of Mujahideen, Laid Rebiga said Monday in Oran that the historical background of Algeria enabled it to play a leading p role on the regional and international scenes, in addition to the wisdom of its diplomacy under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Speaking at the international symposium on the Arab dimension of the Algerian Revolution themed "Algeria in the Arab World, the Richness of History, the Current Challenges and Prospects for the Future," the minister said that "the historical path of Algeria enables it today to play a leading role on the regional and international scenes, in addition to the wisdom of its diplomacy under the leadership of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune".”
This diplomacy has been used to "serve the strategic Arab issues in various areas,” he continued.
He also stressed that the holding of the Arab Summit in Algeria carries a "special symbolism, that of the place and time.”
Moreover, he said, it represents a step for the reunification of the ranks of the Arab nation and an opportunity to strengthen Arab cooperation in various fields.
According to him, addressing the issue of the Arab dimension of the Algerian revolution in various aspects related to this stage requires more time to study and discuss it.
The glorious revolution of November 1954 "will remain alive in the consciousness of the nation and will humiliate anyone waiting for another turn or extinction of the flame,” assured the minister.
Organized by the Ministry of Mujahideen on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of independence and the 68th of the outbreak of the glorious Liberation War, this symposium aims to revive the spirit of brotherhood, strengthen Arab solidarity, and discuss the course of liberation in the Arab world in the face of challenges and issues.

International symposium on Algeria's position in Arab World

ORAN- The ministry of Mujahideen organized Monday in Oran an international symposium on the Arab dimension of the Algerian Revolution, entitled "Algeria in the Arab World, the Depth of History, Today's Challenges and Future Prospects," to mark the 60th anniversary of Independence and the 68th anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious War of Liberation (1954-1962).
The one-day event aims to revive the spirit of brotherhood, enhance Arab solidarity and shed light on the journey of Arab liberation in the face of the challenges.
It also contributes to the creation of opportunities for Arab cooperation and partnerships, according to the organizers.
Researchers from various Algerian, Egyptian, Tunisian, Palestinian, Saudi and Iraqi universities are taking part in the symposium.
The participants will focus on three main issues: "Algeria in Arab consciousness," "Arab support to Algerian Revolution" and "collective values and the developmental approach."
The works of the symposium will be held in two sessions in the morning and three workshops in the afternoon.
Each workshop will address one of the three issues, the organizers added.

Algiers Arab Summit: Golden opportunity to unify Arab ranks
ALGIERS- The upcoming Arab Summit in Algiers is “a golden opportunity” to be seized to unify the Arab ranks, said Director of the Arab Centre for Political and Social Research and Analysis in Geneva Riadh Sidaoui, praising the “judicious choice” of the date of November 1 for its holding.
“In addition to the symbolism of the date of 1 November, which marks the anniversary of the outbreak of the National Liberation War, this summit has another symbolism, which is to be held in the land of the one and a half million martyrs, i.e. Algeria,” said Sidaoui.
“Algeria will be able to revive the Arab Summit, within the framework of the intrinsic values of November, by placing the Palestinian issue at the top of the main items on the agenda,” said the political scientist.
For Sidaoui, the Algiers Summit “will be a golden opportunity” to be seized to unify the Arab ranks and “restore the image of the Arab world, given the geo-strategic changes on a global scale that encourage the Arabs to come together, far from the politics of blocs and polarization.”
