International Trade Union Forum: Significant participation of delegations strengthens support to Sahrawi cause

AOUSSERD (Sahrawi Refugee camps)- Sahrawi President, Secretary General of the Polisario Front Brahim Ghali affirmed that the significant participation of the trade union delegations in the International Trade Union Forum of Solidarity with the Sahrawi People strengthens the support to the Sahrawi cause, especially as it is held at a time when the Sahrawi workers in the occupied cities of Western Sahara are subjected to horrific acts of violence.
President Ghali made a speech on Saturday at the wrap-up of the International Trade Union Forum of Solidarity with the Sahrawi People, held in Aousserd in the Sahrawi refugee camps, and during which the participants expressed their support to the Sahrawi workers.
According to the Sahrawi news agency SPS, President Ghali affirmed that this forum is held at a time when the Sahrawi workers in the occupied cities of Western Sahara are subjected to horrific police brutalities, calling on this occasion the trade union organizations to help lift the blockade imposed on the workers in the occupied cities.
For President Ghali, the forum is also held “at a time when the Sahrawi natural resources are plundered by the occupier, and in an exceptional situation marked by direct confrontations with the Moroccan occupier which violated the ceasefire agreement on 13 November 2020.”
For his part, the governor of Aousserd Mohamed Chikh Mohamed Lahbib welcomed the level of debates that marked the forum’s works.
The participants in this forum reaffirmed their support to the Sahrawi people in their legitimate struggle.
