Larbaoui denies Moroccan allegations on Ghali's alleged participation in Algiers Arab Summit

ALGIERS- Algeria's permanent representative at the United Nations Nadir Larbaoui categorically denied, on Friday, the false and biased information of the Moroccan press on the alleged participation of Sahrawi President Brahim Ghali in the 31st Arab Summit in Algiers.
“We are used to such misleading and biased information,” Larbaoui told the press, saying he was surprised by “this information relayed by the Moroccan media, especially since Western Sahara is not a member of the Arab League.”
“I categorically refute this information,” he said, stressing that “the President of the Sahrawi Republic is not concerned by this summit, either directly or indirectly.”
“Such misleading and biased information is being relayed in an attempt to divert attention from the Arab Summit and even to undermine its credibility,” at a time when “the beginnings of its success are on the horizon, especially after the exploratory meetings held at the level of the Permanent Delegates and the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League.”
