President Tebboune, Emir of Qatar launch projects of Algerian-Qatari-German hospital, extension of Bellara complex
ALGIERS-The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on Tuesday, launched the project of the Algerian-Qatari-German hospital and that of the extension of the complex of the Algerian-Qatari steel company in the region of Bellara (province of Jijel).The launching ceremony of took place at the International Conference Center (ICC) in Algiers, on the sidelines of the work of the 31st ordinary session of the League of Arab States.
With a capacity of 400 beds, the hospital will be built in accordance with international standards in terms of hospital architecture and management.
The hospital provides various healthcare services, including difficult surgeries that require a transfer abroad.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the conduct of a feasibility study for the extension of the complex of the Algerian-Qatari steel company was signed last February in Doha.
The document was signed on the sidelines of President Tebboune’s state visit to Qatar.
With this expansion project, the production capacity of the plant will increase from 2 million tons to 4 million tons annually.
