Arab Summit: Algeria succeeded in achieving set objectives

 
 
ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra said Wednesday that Algeria, under the leadership of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune succeeded in achieving the objectives set during the Arab Summit, namely “unification of Arab ranks.”
 
In a press conference at the end of the 31st Arab Summit, Lamamra said that this meeting was “successful at the national, Arab and international levels,” as Algeria has met all the necessary conditions for this success at the political and logistical level, emphasizing the President’s role in this success.
 
President Tebboune and Arab leaders “made sure to make this summit, held after three years and a half of absence notably because of the Covid-19 pandemic, successful at all levels,” underscoring that “this summit on the unification of ranks distinguished itself by the fact that it is held in November.”
 
Welcoming the preparations and the level of participation in this summit, Foreign minister affirmed that all the participants, notably the organizing country Algeria and the Arab league, have managed to provide the best.
 
“This summit of revival laid the foundation for the strengthening and development process of the joint Arab action,” stressed Lamamra, adding that the Arab League showed “its capacity to adapt to the new situation and to fully perform its role in the framing of the joint Arab action and the acceleration of the revival.”
 
As regards the “Declaration of Algiers,” Lamamra said that Algeria “has worked to promote consensus between all the sides and at all levels and to bring views closer in order to reach a total convergence on all the chapters submitted for debate.”
 
He stressed the importance of “the political will, an essential element to ensure the implementation of these chapters, crystallized during the Summit after realizing, by the Arabs, the importance of the joint Arab action in the meeting of appropriate conditions for positioning on the international scene.”
 
 
“Declaration of Algiers,” stemming from Palestine Unity Conference, welcomed
 
 
ALGIERS- The participants in the 31st Arab Summit welcomed at the end of their works on Wednesday the signing by the Palestinian brothers of the “Declaration of Algiers” stemming from the Conference on the unification of Palestinian ranks, held recently in Algiers, stressing the necessity of joining Arab efforts by accompanying the Palestinian brothers for the implementation of this document.
 
The Declaration of Algiers crowning the works of the 31st Arab Summit paid tribute to “the Arab efforts for the unification of the Palestinian ranks” and welcomed “the signing by the Palestinian brothers of the “Declaration of Algiers stemming from the Conference on the unification of the Palestinian ranks, held in Algiers from 11 to 13 October 2022.”
 
It stressed “the necessity of combining the efforts of the Arab countries to speed up the achievement of this noble objective, notably by accompanying the Palestinian brothers to give concrete expression to the points agreed upon in the aforementioned Declaration.”
 
The Declaration of Algiers affirmed the adoption and support of “Palestine’s approach to obtain the quality of full member in the United Nations.”
 
It also emphasized the necessity of supporting the Palestinian efforts aimed to hold the Israeli occupation responsible for the crimes of war and crimes against humanity it committed and that it continues to commit against the Palestinian people.”
 
The participants reaffirmed “the centrality of the Palestinian cause, the total support to the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to freedom, self-determination and the establishment of the independent Palestinian State with al-Quds as capital, the right to return and the indemnification of the Palestinian refugees, in accordance with the resolution 194 of 1948 of the UN General Assembly.” 
 
 
Arab Foreign Ministers, top officials congratulate Algeria on Summit's success
 
ALGIERS- Arab Foreign Ministers and top officials congratulated Wednesday the Algerian people and leadership on the success of the 31st Arab Summit and the huge efforts made to achieve Arab reunification.
At the end of the works of the 31st Arab League Summit, held on November 1-2 in Algiers, the chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya, Mohamed Younes al-Menfi, stressed the "great success of the Summit," praising "the quality of the positive discussion.
The Jordanian minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman al-Safadi, said the Summit of Algiers was "successful in every respect," adding that the summit "has sent a clear message to the world on Arab countries' commitment to joint Arab action."
He added that "all of the decisions submitted to the summit won a consensus, which reflects the great effort made by our Algerian brothers."
Kuwait's Foreign Minister Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah congratulated Algeria on the success of the Arab Summit, expressing optimism that its outcome will reflect on the Arab region.
"We congratulate the Algerian people, their leaders and President Abdelmadjid Tebboune for the success of the Summit," he said, adding that "we have participated in this Summit which has sent clear messages, without any ambiguity."
The Yemenite minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak congratulated Algeria for the successful Arab Summit, whose outcome reflects " the concerns of Algerian leadership regarding Arab reunification," stressing the efforts made in this respect.
President Tebboune, he added, "has presented important ideas for Arab reunification," highlighting his country's concerns for the full implementation of the Arab Summit's outcome, mainly those relating to the rejection and condemnation of any foreign interference in Arab affairs.
 
Arab Summit has achieved goal of Arab reunification
  
ALGIERS-Several Arab ministers and diplomats affirmed that the 31st Algiers Arab Summit had achieved the goal of unifying Arab ranks, stressing that the event was a starting point to establish a basis for discussions between Arab leaders.
  
In this regard, Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs Othman Jerandi said, in an interview with the Emirati daily “al-Ain News,” published Thursday, that the 31st Arab Summit in Algiers was “a significant achievement for the Arab nation and Algeria.”
  
“The Summit is a starting point to establish a basis for open discussions between Arab leaders on the various current issues,” said Jerandi, stressing that the consultation mechanism that brought the Arab leaders together before the “Algiers Declaration” release, will further enhance talks and candid dialogue.
 
For his part, Kuwait's FM Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said in a statement to the Egyptian daily “Gate Ahram”, that the conclusions of the Algiers Summit will have a “positive impact” on the Arab world, calling the atmosphere “positive” during the talks.
  
He thanked the Algerian government and people for hosting the summit, congratulating the Algerian leadership on its success.
  
“The Algerian brothers deserve praise for the success of this summit, and we thank them again,” he continued.
  
Speaking on this occasion, the Saudi Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Abdulrahman bin Saeed Al-Juma told “al-Ain News” that the Algiers
Summit achieved what the Arabs wanted, explaining that the “Algiers Declaration was fully accepted by the state members.”
 
In this respect, he welcomed the vision of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune to promote joint Arab action within the Arab League.
