Lavrov commends results of Algiers Arab Summit

AMMAN-Russia’s Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov commended Thursday the results of the Arab Summit held in Algiers, stressing the convergence of the views between Moscow and the Arab League, especially on the Palestinian issue.
"We welcome all these results, and our positions are very close and common regarding the Algiers Declaration and the solution to the Middle East," said Sergei Lavrov at a press conference he held with his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi, affirming Russia's support for the "Arab Peace Initiative.”
Lavrov arrived in Amman on Wednesday evening, according to the Russian news agency TASS.
Amman is the first destination under his tour in the Middle East.
