Belani receives Portugal’s Ambassador to Algeria
ALGIERS-Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Amar Belani received on Wednesday the Ambassador of Portugal to Algeria, Luis De Albuquerque Veloso, said a statement from the ministry.
“During the meeting, the Portuguese Ambassador welcomed the excellent political relations between the two countries, stressing the need to further consolidate bilateral cooperation,” said the same source.
“For his part, Belani underlined the Algerian authorities’ willingness to strengthen bilateral relations, broaden them, and raise them to the potential of the two countries in various fields (economy, culture, tourism…) and to make 2023 the year of the re-launch and consolidation of the Algeria-Portugal ties,” said the source.
“The two parties finally agreed to continue exchanges and meetings planned under the bilateral cooperation mechanisms, including the 6th Algeria-Portugal high-level meeting scheduled to take place in Algiers in 2023,” concluded the statement.
