President Tebboune receives Venezuela’s ambassador to Algeria
ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune received Thursday, in Algiers, Venezuela’s ambassador Jose de Jesus Sojo Reyes, who paid him a farewell visit at the end of his mission in Algeria.
In a statement to the press following the meeting, Venezuela’s diplomat said that he discussed with President Tebboune several issues of common interest, adding that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro invited President Tebboune to pay, next year, a visit to Caracas.
Pointing out President Maduro’s last visit to Algeria, marked by the signing of several cooperation agreements notabky in gas and oil, the ambassador expressed the two countries’ willingness to expand their cooperation in transport with the opening of a new air service between Algiers and Caracas.
In this regard, he underscored the “deep” friendship relations between Algeria and Venezuela, affirming that the two countries share the “same vision” on several regional and international issues, citing notably Western Sahara and Palestine.
The audience took place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, in the presence of Principal Private Secretary to the Presidency of the Republic Abdelaziz Khellaf.
