International symposium in Algiers on role of November 1954 Revolution in unification of Arab ranks

 
ALGIERS-The National Institute of Global Strategy Studies (INESG) organized Wednesday an international symposium on the role of the November 1954 Revolution in the unification of Arab ranks: the case of the Palestinian issue.
Several teachers, historians, specialists in law and international relations from 19 national universities, and teachers from Arab countries host this two-day meeting which focuses on the role of the war of national liberation in the unification of Arab ranks and the importance of the Palestinian issue to Algerians.
In this regard, the Academic Rachid Ould Boussiafa, from the University of Medea, recalled in his presentation entitled "The Arab League and the Algerian Cause" the course of Abdul Rahman Azzam Pasha (first SG of the League) who criminalized the massacres of May 8, 1945, highlighting, by the same token, the support provided by the Palestinian activist, Ahmed Al Choukairy who defended the Algerian cause in international fora, including the United Nations.
The Palestinian Mohamed Al-Batta, a member of the International Campaign against the Occupation and Apartheid, stressed "the constant and unconditional support" of Algeria to the Palestinian cause and the Palestinians, recalling the opening, in Algeria, of an office of the resistance movement "Fatah", the proclamation in 1988 of the State of Palestine with al-Quds as its capital and the recent first historic agreement on reconciliation between Palestinian factions.
The Palestinian researcher praised Algeria's consistent official and popular stance in favor of the Palestinian cause and its unconditional political and financial support to its leadership.
The participants also made presentations themed "The Algerian Popular and Official Support for the Palestinian Cause from 1948 to 2022", "the Palestinian Cause through the Archival Documents of the Association of Muslim Ulemas", "the Arab Dimension of the Diplomacy of the Algerian Revolution" and "the Algerian Revolution in the Arab Press of the Time.” 
The National Institute of Global Strategy Studies (INESG) will hold 60 conferences at its headquarters in Algiers and in universities in the country throughout the year, as part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Independence.
