Algeria/Mali: Panel discussion on bilateral cooperation in digital technology, startups

BAMAKO-A panel discussion on cooperation between Algeria and Mali in the fields of digital technology and start-ups was held Thursday in Bamako, with the participation of a hundred operators and actors in these fields of activity.
This meeting, the first of its kind, took place at the International Conference Centre in Bamako, organized by the Algerian Embassy in Mali and the Mali Digital Awards (MDA), an organization for digital jobs and startups.
The works, which brought together nearly a hundred actors and operators from these two sectors, were launched by Mali’s Minister for the Digital Economy and the Modernization of the Administration and by Algerian Minister of the Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises Yacine El Mahdi Oualid, who spoke from Algiers by videoconference.
Both ministers underlined the strong relations between the two countries and expressed their support for this meeting and for the development of bilateral cooperation in the strategic areas of digital and startups.
