Lamamra receives UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations

ORAN- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, received Wednesday in Oran, UN Under-Secretary General in charge of peace operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of the 9th High-Level Conference on Peace and Security in Africa, focused on developments at the continental level and prospects for strengthening cooperation between Algeria and the United Nations in promoting peace and security on the African continent.
During this meeting, Algeria's efforts to end the crisis in Mali, at the head of international mediation and through its chairmanship of the Committee responsible for monitoring the Peace and Reconciliation Agreement in this country, resulting from the Algiers process.
