Ramtane Lamamra holds discussions with Niger's counterpart

ORAN (Algeria)- The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, held talks Thursday in Oran with his Niger's counterpart, Hassoumi Massoudou.
Following the meeting held on the sidelines of the ninth high-level conference on peace and security in Africa, Niger's minister of State, minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation du Niger, Hassoumi Massoudou, told reporters that his country "has excellent relations with Algeria."
He stressed that his country "wants to further develop them through structuring projects."
"We have common projects, mainly the Nigeria-Europe gas pipeline through Algeria project, and we have a lot of ideas for cooperation that we desire to carry out with Algeria."
Niger's Foreign minister emphasized the importance of giving a fresh impetus to security cooperation in the Sahel region.
