CACI: Several economic, commercial agreements signed
ALGIERS- The Algerian Trade and Industry Chamber (CACI) announced Sunday, in a statement, the signing of several economic and commercial agreements, on the sidelines of the opening of the 36th International Assihar Exhibition, organized from 23 December to 6 January in Tamanrasset, in addition to the holding of several bilateral working meetings between Algerian, Nigerien and Chad companies in order to explore joint cooperation opportunities.
The opening of the economic event “Assihar” distinguished itself by the organization of the economic “Algeria-Sahel” Forum, organized by CACI and which culminated in the signing of four agreements, said the statement, adding that one of these agreements was signed between CACI and the Tourism Management Establishment (EGT) of Tamanrasset.
The signatories are CACI’s director general Fathi Nadira and EGT’s director general, while another agreement was signed between two Algerian and Chad commercial companies.
The 3rd agreement was signed between EGT of Tamanrasset and a commercial group.
The 4th agreement aims to constitute an Algeria-Chad Business Council between CACI and its Chad counterpart CCIAMA.
At the end of the Forum’s works, bilateral working meetings were held between the Algerian, Nigerien and Chad companies, in order to explore the cooperation opportunities of common interest, in the presence of Minister of Trade and Exports Promotion Kamel Rezig, said the source.
CACI announced, in its statement, the conclusion of a “partnership agreement with an Algerian company specialized in the textile and leather industry, for the exportation of €3 million of its products to Chad.”
Rezig kicked off on Friday, in Tamanrasset, the Economic “Algeria-Sahel” Forum, in the presence of Minister of Industry and Craft Industry Yacine Hamadi, of Malian Minister of Trade and Industry, Secretary General of the Trade Ministry of Niger, as well as members of the diplomatic body to Mali, Niger, Mauritania and Burkina Faso.
