Benabderrahmane stresses importance of Vocational training, education sector

 
 
ALGIERS- Prime Minister, Aimene Benabderrahmane, said Monday in Algiers, that the sector of vocational training and education plays an important role in the development of Algeria by providing a skilled workforce, stressing the significant resources provided by the state to improve the quality of training and adapt it to the economic sector.
 
In a speech at the opening of the 3rd Conference of Ministers and Leaders responsible for technical and vocational education and training in the Arab world, the Prime Minister recalled "the role of education and vocational training in the country's development."
"The Government has taken into account this aspect in its Action Plan to improve while linking it to the economic sector by encouraging apprenticeship and continuing education of staff, in addition to the development of other areas of expertise," he said.
"To do this, the Algerian state has mobilized extensive material and human resources, as demonstrated by the network of active training institutions whose number exceeds 1,200 institutions including in the private sector, which accommodate more than 500,000 trainees, apprentices and students in the three modes of training (residential, apprenticeship and distance)," said the Prime Minister.
The sector also has a " list of channels and specialties in the field of vocational training made up of 23 professional channels with 495 professional specialties updated when necessary," he added.
