Tourism in Southern Algeria: Regularization visa instead of ordinary visa for foreigners

 
ALGIERS- Foreign tourists wishing to visit the country's south through accredited national tourism and travel agencies may receive regularization visas upon their arrival, without having to undertake the process of applying for a regular visa, the ministry of Interior said in a statement.
"As part of the series of measures taken by the authorities to promote Saharan tourism in our country, the ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning announced new procedures for issuing visas to foreign tourists wishing to visit the country's south, in close collaboration with the different ministerial departments and concerned bodies," the statement said.
"A decision was taken to allow foreigners wishing to make tourist visits to the country's south, through accredited national tourism and travel agencies, to ask for a regularization visa upon their arrival, especially in the southern provinces (airports and land crossings), without having to undertake the procedures for ordinary visa application."
