Algeria, China hold 3rd bilateral dialogue conference on practice, innovation in urban governance
ALGIERS-The 3rd Algeria-China bilateral dialogue conference was held Thursday by videoconference themed "Practice and innovation in urban governance," said Friday the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning.
This conference, which is part of the partnership between the Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Planning, and the Chinese National Academy of Governance (CNAG), "was an opportunity to discuss urban planning, review experiences and share expertise and best practices in the field," said the source.
On the Algerian side, the conference was attended by executives of the central government and 14 walis (governors) of the Republic who gave presentations on "The problems of urban management" and "The role of city governance in setting the principles of sustainable development," as well as "The governance of new cities in Algeria: the city of Boughezoul as a model."
On the Chinese side; however, the conference was marked by the presence of professors and executives who made three presentations on "Innovative practice in Chinese urban management 2012-2022," "Institutional innovation in the management of large cities" and "Innovative measures in digitization," according to the same source.
