Arab police: Algeria wins two prizes for best awareness film

 
ALGIERS-The Algerian police won two prizes for the best awareness film at a competition organized by the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers of Interior on the sidelines of the 46th Conference of heads of police and security bodies held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on January 9 and 10, said Saturday the Directorate General of National Police (DGSN) in a statement.
The first award relates to human rights in police action and the second relates to the fight against extremism, said the same source.
A high-level delegation of the DGSN took part in the work of this conference, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of its first edition.
During this conference, participants discussed “important issues such as the draft Arab strategy to combat crimes of human trafficking and human organs, and money laundering. They also focused on the security experiences of some member states.”
