NOUAKCHOTT- Minister of Trade and Export Promotion Kamel Rezig co-chaired on Saturday, in Nouakchott, with the Mauritanina Minister of Trade, Industry, Craft Industry and Tourism Lamrabott Ould Bennahi the opening of the Algerian-Mauritanian Economic Forum.
 
The forum is organized on the sidelines of the Algerian Production Exhibition, held from 19 to 24 January in Nouakchott, through which the two sides wish to “strengthen the bilateral relations and trading between the two countries.”
 
At the end of the audience granted to him on Thursday by Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazaouani, Rezig underlined “Algeria’s full willingness to accompany and support the economic operators of the two countries and also to meet Mauritania’s needs.”
 
 
In this regard, Rezig enquired about the progress of negotiations between the Algerian economic operators of the cement industry and their Mauritanian counterparts.
 
It was agreed to export 1.6 million tonnes of cement (clinker) to Mauritania.                                        
 
The Algerian Production Exhibition aims to “introduce Algerian high-quality products of different economic sectors to the Mauritanians and promote them in this brotherly country,” said the minister.
 
Algeria-Mauritania: Cooperation agreement between CREA, UNPM
ALGIERS - A cooperation agreement between the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA) and the Mauritanian National Union of Employers (UNPM) was signed on the sidelines of the Algerian products fair in Nouakchott (Mauritania), CREA was informed on Friday.
The agreement was signed by president of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council, Kamel Moula, and president of the Mauritanian National Union of Employers, Zeine El Abidine Ould Cheikh Ahmed.
The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Algerian products fair, scheduled to take place in Nouakchott until 24 January to "publicise Algerian products of superior quality from different economic sectors and promote them in this brotherly country," according to the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion.
The exhibition "allows Algerian companies to develop fruitful partnerships," the same source said.
Organized at the Congress Palace of Nouakchott under the aegis of the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion, this economic event brings together 150 companies representing the sectors of agri-food, services, mechanics, steel and metallurgy, energy, chemicals and petrochemicals and electrical and electronic industries.
Companies involved in building and construction materials, textiles, leather and ready-to-wear are also participating in this exhibition. 
Rezig inaugurates Thursday Algerian Production Fair in Nouakchott
ALGIERS-The Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig moved Thursday to Mauritania as part of an official visit to inaugurate the Algerian Production Fair in Nouakchott, the ministry said.
This event, which will run until January 24, aims to "showcase the Algerian products of superior quality of various economic sectors and to promote them in this brotherly country," according to the ministry.
It is also "a good opportunity for Algerian companies to engage in fruitful partnerships," said the same source.
Organized at the Congress Palace in Nouakchott under the patronage of the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion, this economic event will be attended by 150 companies representing the sectors of agribusiness, services, mechanical engineering, steel and metallurgy, energy, chemicals, petrochemicals, and electrical and electronic industries.
Companies operating in construction, textiles, leather, and ready-to-wear will also take part in this event.
