Algeria, Cameroon sign agreement on creation of business council
ALGIERS- Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Cameroon's Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts signed an agreement for the creation of an Algerian-Cameroonian Business Council, the Algerian chamber said Wednesday in a statement.
The agreement was signed by the president of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kamel Hamani, and his Cameroonian counterpart, Christophe Eken, in a ceremony attended by Algeria's ambassador to Cameroon, Boumediene Mahi.
The signing of the agreement was the culmination of a visit organized by the Algerian chamber, in collaboration with the Algerian Confederation of Algerian Companies, for an Algerian businessmen delegation to Cameroon (from January 23rd), the statement said.
The visit was organized to boost economic cooperation and promote trade between African states, explore partnership opportunities between Algerian economic operators and their Cameroonian counterparts and get acquainted with the potential of the African market, the statement said.
