ALGIERS- Minister of Justice Abderrachid Tabi co-chaired Wednesday, in Algiers, with Niger's minister of Justice Ikta Abdoulaye Mohamed, a signing ceremony for three mutual legal assistance agreements between the Justice ministries of the two countries.
The signing of the three agreements relating to mutual legal assistance in the civil, commercial and criminal fields, in addition to the extradition agreement, is a "big step towards the establishment of an effective legal assistance between Algeria and Niger, equal to the rapid developments worldwide, especially in the fight against all forms of crime."
The efforts made in the update of the agreement with the Nigerien partner go hand in hand with the major issues of President Tebboune's programme, and which, he said, "take into account the common interests between Algeria and its strategic partners, mainly in Africa."
The president welcomed "the level of the deeply-rooted and fraternal" and "the historical friendly ties between the two countries, and those between the two peoples and two leaderships."
