PUIC sends message of thanks to President of the Republic

 
 
ALGIERS- The Parliamentary Union of the member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC) sent on Monday a message of thanks to the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune for his patronage of the 17th PUIC Conference, held in Algiers.
 
The message of thanks sent to President Tebboune was read by PUIC’s Secretary General Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass at the end of this conference organized under the motto “the Muslim world and challenges of modernization and development.”
 
“Your move had a positive impact (…) thanks to the efforts made by Algeria to make this session successful and the important outcomes which crowned it,” said the source.
 
Khouraichi Niass wished “further prosperity and progress to the Algerian people under the wise leadership” of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
 
 
PUIC supports Palestine’s request to become full member State of UN
 
 
ALGIERS- 17th Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States Conference (PUIC), whose works wrapped up on Monday in Algiers, culminated in the “Declaration of Algiers” which stressed the support of the request submitted by Palestine to obtain the quality of a full member State of the United Nations, while calling on the international community to take an urgent action for the protection of the Palestinian civilians and their holy places.
 
The participants in this session organized under the slogan “the Muslim world and the challenges of modernization and development,” stressed “the unfailing support to the Palestinian cause and the protection of al-Quds as well as their support to the Palestinian people to recover their inviolable legitimate rights, their rights to self-determination and to return to their land.”
 
The Declaration affirmed the support to the “request submitted by Palestine to obtain the quality of a full member State of the United Nations while underscoring the resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly calling the International Court of Justice to give an advisory opinion on the Zionist occupation.
 
The participants called on the international community, notably the Security Council, to “assume its responsibilities and act urgently to ensure the security of the Palestinian civilians and protect their basic rights and freedoms as well as their holy places in accordance with the international legality.”
 
The Union called on the Palestinian factions to “abide by the Declaration of Algiers and to continue their efforts to face, together, the policies of the Zionist entity and its illegal practices notably its violations committed against al-Aqsa Mosque in addition to the violent acts against the disarmed faithful.”
 
 
PUIC: President Tebboune’s special interest in reviving Muslim world emphasized
 
 
ALGIERS- Presidents of the Councils and members of the parliamentary delegations of the OIC States hailed President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s “special interest” in reviving the Muslim world, said the Declaration of Algiers that crowned the works of the 17th Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States Conference (PUIC).
 
The participants in the conference welcomed the signing by the Palestinian factions of the Declaration of Algiers that crowned the works of the Conference for the unification of the Palestinian ranks, held under the patronage of the President of the Republic on 13 October 2022, underscoring that this initiative enabled “ending a years-long conflict and constituted a sound platform to achieve the Palestinian unity.”
 
 
The document calls on the Palestinian factions to abide by the Declaration of Algiers, to continue and strengthen their efforts to face together the policies of the Zionist entity and its illegal practices, notably its acts against al-Aqsa Mosque.
 
The document insisted on “the importance of strengthening the joint action in order to fight against terrorism and violent extremism which constitute a threat to the international peace and security,” welcoming “Algeria’s initiative which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on the institution of the international day of “living together in peace,” celebrated on 16 May of each year.”
 
The participants announced the launch of the cooperation strategy between the member countries in the field of cyber-security for the strengthening of the intellectual security of the Arab-Muslim countries.  
 
 
They also announced the creation of “a center of studies and researches in the immunity of the Islamic thought in Algeria which will work for the protection of the Islamic intellectual heritage from any intrusion which aims its foundations and seeks to question its solid foundations,” in addition to a startup incubator for the development of innovative projects for young people.
