2nd Dakar Summit commends Algeria's role in Africans development

DAKAR (Senegal)- The participants in the 2nd Dakar Financing Summit for Africa's Infrastructure Development have praised the pivotal role of Algeria as a driving force for development in Africa.
The director of Infrastructures at Senegal's ministry of Land Transport, Mamoudou Alassane Camara, told APS on the sidelines of the second and last day of the Summit's works, that Algeria was one of the most important countries in Africa, with whom it is henceforth necessary to enhance cooperation at all levels."
The African continent is living today in an extremely important period, considering the development projects initiated by the member States with regional organisations for the development of the region, according to him.
In the face of the rapid changes the world is going through, it is essential to further strengthen African cooperation, and mainly with West Africa, he said.
Alassane Camara added that Senegal intends, through its development programmes, to create a bridge between the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the Maghreb countries, especially Algeria.

 Algeria spares no effort to achieve African integration
 
DAKAR (Senegal)- Prime Minister Aymen Benabderrahmane said Thursday in Dakar, Senegal, that Algeria had spared no effort, since independence, to achieve African integration, adding that it put today its experience to the benefit of African countries through development projects allowing the continent to reach the highest levels of development.
"Algeria spares no effort to achieve African integration," said the prime minister, who took part in a roundtable on the funding of priority projects in Africa, as part of the 2nd Dakar Financing Summit for Africa's Infrastructure Development.
To achieve complementarity among African countries, "Algeria had always given priority to integration and to the continental dimension in its projects," Benabderrahmane said.
Algeria "was one of the first countries to write off the debts of 14 African countries, through a sum of 1.4 billion dollars, allowing those countries to get rid of indebtedness that was hindering their development process."
"Algeria put its experience to the benefit of African countries to carry out development projects in terms of human resources training and the selection of the most effective development models, making it possible for those countries to reach the highest levels of development."
 
Senegalese President welcomes President Tebboune's commitments to vital African causes
 
DAKAR (Senegal)- Senegalese President Macky Sall welcomed Thursday, in Dakar, the personal commitments of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to vital African causes and his interest in the development of infrastructures at national and continental levels.
Macky Sall, during the audience granted to him by Prime Minister Aymen Benabderrahmane, on the sidelines of his participation as representative of the president of the Republic to the 2nd Dakar Financing Summit for Africa's Infrastructure Development."
The Senegalese president asked the prime minister to "convey his fraternal greetings to President Tebboune," welcoming the president's commitments to vital African causes and his interest in the development of infrastructures at national and continental levels.
Macky Sall also stressed "Algeria's strong support to the African continent and its commendable contributions to the development of infrastructures in Africa."
On the bilateral level, Sall underlined the "deepness of the historical and fraternal relations between Algeria and Senegal," expressing his desire for "enhanced cooperation and partnership between the two countries in a number of areas."
He also expressed his determination to respond to the invitation he received from President Tebboune to visit Algeria.
The Prime Minister, for his part, conveyed the greetings of the president of the Republic to his Senegalese counterpart and his warm thanks for the invitation to him to attend the summit, whose theme is vital for Africa's development integration.
 
 
Benabderrahmane receives in Dakar DP World Group Chairman & CEO
 
DAKAR (Senegal)- Prime Minister Aymen Benabderrahmane received Thursday, in Dakar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DP World Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, on the sidelines of his participation in the 2nd Dakar Financing Summit for Africa's Infrastructure Development," as representative of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The two sides discussed partnership and cooperation projects between the two countries and the prospects for their development and strengthening in various fields.
The works of the 2nd Dakar Financing Summit for Africa's Infrastructure Development started Thursday in Dakar, Senegal.
