Conference in Support of al-Quds: President Tebboune firmly condemns Zionist occupier’s attempts to impose fait accompli policy

CAIRO- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune has firmly condemned on Sunday, in Cairo, during the works of the High-Level Conference in Support of al-Quds, the repeated attempts of the Zionist occupier to impose the fait accompli policy by distorting the reality, emphasizing Algeria’s full commitment to supporting the Palestinian people’s right to establish their independent State within the borders of 1967, with al-Quds as capital.
“While expressing our strong condemnation and our absolute rejection of the repeated attempts of the Zionist occupier to impose the fait accompli policy, both now and in the past, by distorting the reality and changing names, we reiterate, in Algerian our full commitment to supporting the Palestinian people’s right to establish their independent State within the borders of 4 June 1967, with al-Quds as capital,” affirmed the President of the Republic in an address read on his behalf by Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra who is representing him, in his capacity as current Chairman of the Arab League Council at the Summit level, in this Conference.
President Tebboune said that on the occasion of the holding of this important conference, in accordance with the conclusions of the last Arab Summit held in Algiers son November 2022, “We affirm that the reprehensible racist policies that the occupation attempts to impose in al-Quds city, its attempts to erase its Arab, Muslim and Christian identity, to change its status and to desecrate its holy places, in the wake of the recent provocations, will only bring illusory achievements in contradiction with the History, the legality and the demography which will endanger the coexistence which characterized this city over the centuries and undermine the prospects of reviving the peace process in the Middle East.”
In this regard, the President of the Republic insisted on “Algeria’s commitment to defending al-Quds, in total agreement with its national history and the principles of its glorious National Liberation War, and which represents for the current generations the continuity of the efforts of their pious ancestors, of whom we recall the scholar, mujaheed and patron saint of Tlemcen Sidi Boumediène Chouaib El-Ghouth, whose name remains linked to al-Quds and Wakfs.”
