Lamamra represents President of the Republic at 40th meeting of NEPAD

 
ALGIERS- The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, representing the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, attended Wednesday the 40th session of the NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee, held via video link, the ministry said in a statement.
Lamamra, in an address at the NEPAD summit, stressed the priority given by the president of the Republic to the development of the national economy and the strengthening of economic complementarity, at the regional and continental levels, the statement said.
The minister emphasized the "positive results of the economic revival programme, initiated by President Tebboune at the national level, and Algeria's efforts to boost its contribution to the implementation of the goals of the African Union Development Agency-New Africa's Partnership for Development (AUDA-NEPAD), by promoting its structuring and development projects."
"Lamamra conveyed the president of the Republic's greetings to his brother, the president of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, for his far-sighted management and his distinguished presidency of the works of the steering committee during the last period."
Lamamra welcomed the plebiscite of "Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi, to take over from him as chairmanship of the major continental body," reiterating Algeria's full support to him in his duties as chairman of the NEPAD, for more achievements in the best interest of African countries and peoples."
