Mines of phosphate in Tebessa and of iron in Tindouf: Reducing deadlines for completion of railway line projects

 
ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune ordered, in the meeting of the Council of minister that he chaired on Monday, to reduce the deadlines for the execution of the railway line projects, linking Annaba to the mine of Bled El Hadba (Tebessa) and Bechar to the mine of Gara Djebilet (Tindouf), stressing the necessity of building these railway lines according to the international standards in force, the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement.
 
As regards the development of big structuring industrial projects of the sector of Energy and Mines, “the President of the Republic rejected all long-term deadlines for the building of the railway lines, linking Annaba to the mine of Bled El Hadba and Bechar to that of Gara Djebilet via Tindouf, ordering to reduce them immediately,” said the statement.
 
President Tebboune gave instructions to “build these railway lines as soon as possible, according to the international standards in force, in partnership with international companies, in order to increase the production capacities, considering their pressing economic urgency.”
 
He also gave instructions to “combine between development and exploitation when executing different works, in order to complete the exploitation of Gara Djebilet mine.”
 
President Tebboune ordered to “enable the startups to participate in the different mining projects.”
