Algerian-Mauritanian business council welcomes ratification of protocol on Tindouf-Zouerate road project

 
BECHAR- The Algerian-Mauritanian business council welcomed the ratification of the executive protocol on the implementation of a memorandum of understanding signed between Algeria and Mauritania for the construction of the land route linking Tindouf to the Mauritanian city of Zouerate, the Council’s President Youcef El Ghazi said on Tuesday.
 
“We have welcomed the ratification, by presidential decree n 23-68 of 7 February 2023 published in the Official Journal n 8, of the executive protocol on the implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed between Algeria and Mauritania for the execution of this important road infrastructure which clearly reflects the country’s conviction to contribute to the economic and social development and to the security of Africa,” said El Ghazi in a statement to APS.
 
“Thanks to the State’s efforts in terms of boosting and strengthening economic and social exchanges between the countries of the African Union, this road will constitute a new channel of international transit of goods and people between the Maghreb, west Africa and Europe,” said the source.
 
This important road project, said El Ghazi, “shows Algeria’s commitment to the development of our Continent and strengthening of economic and commercial exchanges between the African countries.”
