Algeria-UAE Joint Commission: Five cooperation agreements signed

 
ALGIERS- The works of the 15^th session of Algeria-UAE Joint Commission, held Friday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, under the co-chairmanship of the minister of Industry, Ahmed Zaghdar, and the Emirati minister of Economy, Abdullah Al-Marri, wrapped up with the signing of five cooperation agreements.
The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on industrial and technological cooperation, a MoU on cooperation in investment, a MoU on cooperation in digitization, a MoU on cooperation in earthquake engineering, in addition to a an executive programme in specifications and standardization, the ministry of Industry said in a  statement.
In an address during the Algerian-Emirati joint commission works, Zaghdar said the meeting "shows the desire of the leaders of the two countries to step up cooperation to the level of strategic cooperation."
The session was "an opportunity to assess bilateral cooperation and suggest ways and means to promote it to live up to the aspirations of the leaders and the peoples of the two countries," the statement said.
