MP delegation attends second Russia-Africa Parliamentary Conference

 
ALGIERS- A delegation of Algerian MPs is taking part in an international parliamentary conference themed "Russia-Africa in a Multipolar World," opened Sunday in Moscow, the Council of the Nation (upper house of Parliament) said in a statement.
The Algerian delegation attending the works of the conference, being held (March 19-20) by the Duma, the lower house of Russian Parliament, is made up of members from the two houses of the Algerian Parliament.
At meetings with the participating delegations, on the sidelines of the roundtables, the representatives of the Algerian Parliament said "the development of the global economy requires the strengthening of security, peace and stability and a balanced and equitable development between the North and the South."
"The rapprochement between Russia and Africa is the main catalyst for the achievement of this objective," the members of the delegation said.
They emphasized the role of parliaments as part of the actions to develop and deepen dialogue on both regional and international levels and promote relations of solidarity among peoples."
