Algeria will never abandon Tunisia, target of plot

 
ALGIERS-The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune said that Algeria "will never abandon Tunisia", target of a conspiracy hatched by several parties, and supports the Tunisian President, Kais Saied, elected by his people.
"We will not abandon Tunisia, regardless of some parties," said President Tebboune in an interview with "Al Jazeera" channel broadcast Wednesday.
Referring to the ties between Algeria and Tunisia, a brotherly country, the President of the Republic spoke of a plot against Tunisia by several parties, saying that "things have become more complicated after the reception reserved by Tunisia to the President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Brahim Ghali.”
Algeria supports President Kais Saied, because he is "the symbol that the people have elected" and not a president "imposed or installed following a coup d'état", said the President of the Republic, stressing at the same time that "Algeria does not interfere in the internal affairs of Tunisia.”
 
Ramadan: President Tebboune exchanges greetings with Tunisian counterpart
 
ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Wednesday had a phone conversation with his brother, President Kais Saied of Tunisia, during which they exchanged greetings on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, the presidency of the Republic said in a statement.
"The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, had a phone conversation today with his brother, President Kais Saied of Tunisia, during which they exchanged greetings on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing for the two sister countries and brother peoples to enjoy well-being and stability and achieve greater progress," the statement said.
