PM, Head of Tunisian Government discuss bilateral relations
ALGIERS-The Prime Minister, Aimene Benabderrahmane met Thursday with the Head of the Tunisian Government, Najla Bouden, with whom he discussed "bilateral relations and prospects for their development in all areas," said the Prime Minister's Office in a statement.
"As part of the traditions of continuous dialogue and consultations between Algeria and Tunisia, enshrined by the leaders of both countries, Prime Minister Aimene Benabderrahmane met with Najla Bouden, Head of the Government of the Republic of Tunisia, brotherly country, on the state of bilateral relations and prospects for their development in various areas," said the source.
The meeting "was an opportunity to discuss ways to strengthen support for Tunisia, a brotherly country, so that it regains its economic stability that the Tunisian authorities are working to achieve," said the source.
"The Head of Government informed the Prime Minister of the latest developments in the ongoing negotiations between Tunisia and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on the financial agreement under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF), which aims to support economic policies in Tunisia.”
"Based on the strong historical relations of brotherhood uniting Algeria and Tunisia as well as their two brotherly peoples and in accordance with the guidelines of the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister expressed Algeria's full solidarity with Tunisia, a brotherly country, in its negotiations with the IMF," the statement said.
"The two officials stressed their common willingness to work together to move forward towards more strategic complementarity and development in solidarity and integration, in accordance with the guidelines of the leaders of the two countries,” said the source.
